VOICE MAILBOX

I.  Service introduction

Voice mailbox service provides the auto-answer system and helps you record your messages when there is an incoming call but you do not want or cannot answer the phone. Each Voice Mailbox has a separate password so that the security is ensured and you are the only one who can listen to messages in Voice mailbox.

There are two languages for the Voice Mailbox: Vietnamese and English.

III.  Service Instruction

3.1. Registration and settings

Step 1: Register Call Divert service at MobiFone transaction offices nationwide

Step 2: Subject to each situation of call diverting to Voice mailbox, customer setups from mobile keypad following the table below:

Note: Regulations on diverting calls to Voice Mailbox for prepaid subscribers:

  • MobiFone prepaid subscribers can only divert incoming calls to Voice Mailbox in following case:
    • When the phone is off or out of coverage.
  • MobiFone prepaid subscribers cannot divert incoming calls to Voice Mailbox in following cases:
    • Diverting all incoming calls;
    • Diverting calls when the phone is busy;
    • Diverting the call as there is no answer;

Step 3: Register Voice Mailbox

  • Method 1:

When another subscriber calls you (in case you have setup call divert to Voice mailbox), the system shall automatically register the Voice Mailbox service for you and send a message to you enclosing with a default password 1234.

  • Method 2:
    • You make a call to Voice Mailbox number 981, press 1 to confirm registration.
    • Select languages for Voice mailbox: press 1 for Vietnamese, press 2 for English.
    • After registering successfully, the system shall send a SMS to you enclosing with a default password 1234.

3.2. Instruction for listening to messages:

Step 1: Log in Voice Mailbox

There are two methods to log in Voice mailbox

  • Method 1: From your number, call to 981, enter the registered password (if password has been activated) and follow the instruction.
  • Method 2: From any numbers or fixed numbers, call to 0908222222, enter your subscription number and password and then follow the instruction.

Step 2: Listen to messages and other actions

-   If you have new messages, the system shall automatically deliver each one.

-   After listening to messages, there will be some options:

+ Press 1 to listen again

+ Press 2 to delete messages ---> press 1 to confirm, press 0 to ignore

+ Press 3 to call back

+ Press 4 to reply to messages

+ Press 5 to divert messages

+ Press 6 to save messages

+ Press # to listen to the next message

+ Press * to step back to the main menu

3.3. Instruction for sending messages

There are two methods

Method 1:

- Call to the phone number which is connecting to Voice mailbox. If the phone is turned off, out of coverage, is busy or no answer is made, the caller shall be instructed by Voice mailbox to leave a message and record it after a "bip" sound.

- Press # to finish recording

- Press 1 to send message or hang up

Method 2:

Call to Voice mailbox and send a message to a subscriber (even when that subscriber does not divert the call to Voice mailbox) as follows:

- MobiFone subscriber calls to 982, enters the subscription number to which the message is sent, press #.

- Record the message. After finishing recording, press 1 or hang up to send message.

3.4. Instruction for changing personal information of Voice mailbox

3.6. Instruction for service cancellation: There are two methods

  • Method 1: Cancel diverting to Voice mailbox following the Instruction table in section 3.1.
  • Method 2: If the Voice mailbox is not used within 60 days, the system shall automatically cancel the Voice mailbox service.

IV.  Tariff:

4.1. Service registration charge:

  • Register via short number 981: Vnd 500/minute (VAT included). Charging method: 6 seconds + 1 second.
  • Register from a terminal device: Free of charge.

4.2. Charge for diverting calls to Voice Mailbox: Free of charge

4.4. Call to Voice mailbox to access messages

4.5. Charge for calling to Voice mailbox (981) to change personal information: Vnd 500/minute (VAT included). Charging method: 6 seconds + 1 second.

4.6. Note: Subscribers using Voice mailbox are discounted 50% internal network charge under current regulations.

  • Customers can use only one of two services Missed Calls Alert or Voice Mailbox at a time.
  • In case customers are using Voice mailbox service while registering MCA service then Voice mailbox service shall be disabled. Customers must setup again following section 3.1 to divert calls to Voice mailbox if they need to use the service again.
