SMS Roaming Service

Descriptions: "SMS Roaming" is an international SMS roaming service intended for pre-paid subscribers of MobiFone. When being at abroad, any pre-paid subscribers of MobiFone can send and receive SMS from their relatives and friends by their phone numbers

Target users: Pre-paid subscribers of MobiFone.

Scope of provision: 71 Countries/Territories (refer to SMS Roaming Service fee table for more details).

Fee:

Send SMS to 9236: VND 290/SMS (including VAT)
SMS sending fee when roaming abroad: Refer to SMS Roaming Service fee table.
SMS receiving fee when roaming abroad: free

USER GUIDE:

Step 1	Register the service 30 minutes before leaving Vietnam	- By SMS: compose DK and send to 9236 - By USSD: + Dial: *090#, dial Call/Yes/Ok + Select Answer, enter number 4, select Send + Select Answer, enter 1, select Send
Step 2	Create and transfer message center when roaming abroad	Refer to detailed guide bellow
Step 3	Recovering message center when coming back to Vietnam	Refer to detailed guide bellow
Step 4	Cancel:	- By SMS: compose HUY and send to 9236 - By USSD: + Dial: *090#, dial Call/Yes/Ok + Select Answer, enter number 4, select Send + Select Answer, enter 2, select Send
Ask for help		Compose TG and send to 9236

Note:

Subscribers should register the service at least 30 minutes before leaving Vietnam.
To register the service, subscribers must have at least VND 20,000 in their main accounts.
After successfully register the service, subscribers can not receive or answer phone calls, can not access GPRS.
When creating message centre, subscribers should remember the default message centre number in order to recover it when coming back to Vietnam.
Accounts can be charged by scratch card, card code or through M2U and MobiEZ services.
Check account: *101#OK.
When coming back to Vietnam, after successffully cancel the service, subscribers will receive, answer phone calls and access GPRS again.

How to create message centre when roaming abroad:
In order to use SMS Roaming Service when roaming abroad, message centre number of the service, i.e. +84900041202 should be used instead of default one. In order to send/receive SMS, subscribers should follow steps below:

Step 1: Select any net of the country to arrive in.
To select net, subscribers can use Automatic or manual mode in Settings section.
- For Nokia phone: Menu > Settings > Phone Settings >Operator selection > Automatic or Manual.
- For Motorola phone: Menu > Settings > Network > Network Setup > Type >Automatic or Manual
- For Samsung phone: Menu > Network Services > Network Selection > Automatic or Manual
If "Automatic" is selected. When you are at abroad, your phone will automatically connect with the best coverage network.

If "Manual" is selected. When you are at abroad, mobile networks available in the country will display in your phone. Select a network, and then dial OK.

Step 2: Create message centre +84900041202
- For Nokia phone: Select Menu > Message > Message settings > /Text messages > Message centre > Create message centre = +84900041202
- For Motorola phone: Select Menu > Message > Text messages > Message setup > Service centre number > Create message centre = +84900041202
- For Samsung phone: Menu > Message > Text message > Settings > Create message centre = +84900041202

When changing message centre, subscribers should remember the default message centre number in order to recover it when coming back to Vietnam.

Note: SMS sent will be charged at the same price for all network in the same country when sending to all directions: sending to a subscriber in the home country, in Vietnam or in another country.

For example: A pre-paid subscriber of MobiFone roaming in Singapore that sends SMS to another subscriber in Singapore, in Vietnam or in any other networks will be charged at the same price of VND 5,600/SMS.
