International Roaming service (IRS) for prepaid subscribers is a service that help MobiFone's prepaid subscribers keep contact (call/receive calls, send/receive SMS) by their own prepaid numbers when they are abroad.

Convenience: You can keep in touch with your colleagues, family and friends by your own prepaid number even when you are abroad.

Customers do not need to deposit when registering the service.

Easy top-up: With normal top-up via USSD, you shall not have to worry about service interruption for your account runs out of credit.

After successfully registering IRS, when being abroad customers can select network under one of following methods:

Auto selection: customers just need to start the terminal device; the device shall automatically select one of mobile networks having agreement on roaming with MobiFone in that country.

Manual selection: go to Menu - Setting - Select Network - Manual - Select network in the list - OK.
Upon using network, customers can make/receive calls or send/receive SMS by their own prepaid number as follows:

USSD, for example: Check account (*101#), top-up (*100*code on scratch card#).

For prepaid subscriber who has successfully registered IRS when being abroad, they cannot make calls or send SMS to services that use abbreviated access numbers, for example: 994/995, 4xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx, 8xxx, 9xxx... or long abbreviated numbers, for example: 1800xxxx/1900xxxx.
Note: Data service is not available for IR prepaid subscriber.

Speech fee is calculated under one-minute block + 1 minute. Calls that are less than 1 minute shall be calculated as 1 minute; for calls that have the extra part less than 1 minute then this extra shall be rounded as 1 minute.

SMS fee is charged according to quantity of SMSs; the length of each SMS is 160 characters; SMSs with over 160 characters shall be automatically divided into the respective number of SMSs.

Arisen IR fee on the whole
is not durable with VAT of Vietnam.

Service use fee
can be changed depending on exchange rate of Vietcombank. The date of applying new price (if changed) is from 0h00 of the first day every month.

After the prepaid subscriber successfully registers IRS, arisen fee of using IRS shall be charged to main account.

In case the main account runs out of credit, the system shall send notice or SMS to suggest customers top up to use the service. To recharge, customers can follow instructions in section 4.4.

IRS-registered prepaid subscriber when being in Vietnam but in coverage of foreign mobile network (for example: border area between countries) or in case customers' settings of terminal device can receive signals of foreign network, to avoid arising fee of IRS beyond control, customers should cancel IRS (Dial *090*5*11*13*2#).
In that case, if customers do not cancel IRS and customers' terminal device join foreign mobile network when still in Vietnam then arisen fee at that time shall be IRS fee of MobiFone. Customers are responsible to pay all arisen cost.

If customers register SMS Roaming service before or after registering IRS, customers can only send/receive SMS and cannot make/receive calls. To use IRS for prepaid subscribers, customers must cancel SMS Roaming service (compose HUY and send to 9236 or dial *090*4*3#)

When prepaid subscribers successfully register IRS, you shall not be able to use Mobile Internet and some value-added services that you have registered (fee has been charged) before roaming internationally. After successfully cancelling IRS, packages such as Mobile Internet and value-added services shall be restored and used normally. Capacity and usage period of packages and services shall be the same as the time before using IRS.

When coming back to Vietnam, in order to use Mobile Internet and value-added services that you registered before roaming, you must cancel IRS (dial *090*5*11*13*2#).

IRS-registered prepaid subscribers when switching to other types of prepaid subscription can maintain IRS.

IRS-registered prepaid subscribers when switching to postpaid then IRS shall be cancelled. When having need to use IRS, you must register under current regulations of MobiFone for postpaid subscribers to register IRS.

Postpaid subscribers when switching to prepaid when want to use IRS then they must register as per Section 4.1.
